Frankly, I'm relieved to have the holidays done with. Children get far too excitable at the end of the year. As it is I won't have their attention in my class until at least the end of the month.
I should formulate lessons around the time that a certain wizard who shall remain namelessbut his initials are Jeremiah Petersburg...I can't believe I remember that idiot's name... came to me just after a raid on the home of a smuggler. This being after I saved his life from a cursed crate he somehow didn't spot, though the wards might as well have been glowing and calling out his name.
At any rate, this nameless wizard came to me and began to speak for I believe what was approximately ten minutes about how I humiliated him, and how difficult it would be to report that I (a woman), had saved him (supposedly a man). He implied he would be saying that the reverse had taken place, and that if I were to contradict him it might go hard on me.
Needless to say, I received my first commendation from the Ministry at the same day I received my first formal warning, for transfiguring a fellow auror into a pig and refusing to reverse the spell. The last I saw of him he still had something of a snout. Such complicated magic, transfigurations.
It's a shame I'm not allowed to teach the students here spells against their fellow wizards. I'd imagine they would be able to stay more focused in my classes.
